26 Emerging Writer Award

Last year the wonderfully talented Bert Preece won our inaugural 26 Emerging Writer Award. Quietroom are sponsoring this year’s award and now’s the time to enter.

The award is for someone who began commercial writing within the last 5 years. There’s no age limit. They can be someone in their first job or a mid-career switcher. They don’t even have to be a 26 member. The key thing is that their work is brilliant.

How to enter
Be bold and recommend yourself, or be nice and put someone else forward.
Tell us why you’re nominating yourself/them in less than 260 words.
Send us a link or samples of your/their work.
Say how you know this person (only if they’re not you – obvs).

When to enter
Send your entries to awards@26.org.uk by Monday 11th September. The winner will be announced at the Wordstock Deconstructed Rob Williams event on 21st September. So get your tickets now.

Good news
There’s no entry fee.

Even better news
The winner will receive a gorgeous letterpress certificate and a trophy to be treasured.

Good luck – the 26 Awards team.
