About me

I’m a freelance editor, proofreader, and writer living in the beautiful, inspirational city of Edinburgh.

By day, I work on educational resources and articles for the Raspberry Pi Foundation, and I’m subeditor of The MagPi Magazine.

By night, I write short stories and novels, mainly YA but sometimes for adults. My fiction and creative non-fiction has been published by the Scottish Book Trust, 26, Freight Press, and the Dangerous Women project. In 2016 I was chosen as a UNESCO Emerging Writer, reading a short story at the Edinburgh International Book Festival as part of Story Shop. I’m an Associate Member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

I’m currently looking for representation for my first novel, an urban fantasy set in Edinburgh. In my spare time I tend to my growing pile of games consoles and musical instruments, and learn more languages than is healthy
